Triangle Transit operates regional bus and shuttle service, paratransit services, ridematching, vanpools, provides commuter resources, and an emergency ride home program for the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area including Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, Hillsborough, RDU International Airport, Raleigh, The Research Triangle Park and Wake Forest. Our Mission Statement
Triangle Transit improves our region’s quality of life by connecting people and places with reliable, safe, and easy-to-use travel choices that reduce congestion and energy use, save money, and promote sustainability, healthier lifestyles, and a more environmentally responsible community.
Goals
- Continue to operate a fiscally responsible public agency utilizing good business principles.
- Work with cities, counties, Metropolitan Planning Organizations and other interested parties in examining transportation corridors, considering land use, economic activity, population patterns, and connections among these three elements and transportation.
- To provide safe, secure and reliable service that protects employees and passengers and minimizes property damage to vehicles and facilities.

Governance and Public Comment
Triangle Transit is governed by a 12-member Board of Trustees which meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. at 4600 Emperor Blvd., Suite 100, Durham. A public comment period is provided at the beginning of each monthly session for citizens to speak on any item. The session is no more than 30 minutes long and speakers are limited to no more than three minutes each. To sign up, please contact the Clerk to the Board.
