Part-time Customer Service Position

Triangle Transit is currently recruiting for a part time customer service representative at our Regional Call Center located in RTP for Saturdays and Sundays. Successful candidates must have at least one year of prior customer service experience. Main responsibility will be to answer phones and provide accurate direction and regional information, in a courteous/professional manner to the general public. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills plus a High school diploma/equivalent with a working understanding of PC’s and Microsoft Office packages required. Ability to attend work during adverse weather is required. Primary shifts will be nights and weekends. Marketing Associate

Triangle Transit is currently recruiting for a Marketing Associate. This position helps to create promotional campaigns and materials that encourage the use of Triangle Transit services. The ideal candidate wil have innovative and creative ideas for promoting alternative transportation to the public. Graphic design experience in print and media is a must. This position will also be responsible for maitaining various websites associated with Triangle Transit. A BA degree from an accredited 4 year college, with a major in marketing or related field required. Technical skills that are needed: proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop or comparable design software; proficiency with basic HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver design software; basic FTP and web server knowledge. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and have exceptional communication skills to effectively relate with the marketing audience. Minimum starting salary $31,824, DOE. Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager: Triangle Transit is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager for a fleet of transit buses and vans. This position is responsible for developing methods and procedures related to the operations of the Maintenance and Parts Division. The Maintenance Manager directs the maintenance of the parts shop, the service shop and equipment, and the Operations facility. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and four years of related maintenance experience with considerable experience in supervision of complex transit equipments and maintenance/repair functions. Candidate must be knowledgeable of regulations governing vehicle maintenance, operations, and safety requirements, as well as the principles, methods and procedures of transit fleet operations. Proven ability to multitask, effective communication skills, and proficiency with PCs required. Pay range for this position is $49,400-$79,040 DOE. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Bus Service Attendant

Bus Service Attendant: Triangle Transit is currently recruiting for a dependable Bus Service Attendant for 2nd shift. The position performs daily servicing, inspecting, and cleaning of buses and other Triangle Transit vehicles and removal of vaults from fare boxes. A High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Ideal candidate will have the ability to operate adjustable hand wrenches, screw drivers and similar hand tools, air wrenches, fuel pumps and fare boxes. Six years driving experience, possession of a good driving record, and the ability to drive in all types of adverse weather. Prior bus or heavy vehicle driving experience is preferred. Must have or be able to obtain a class B Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement and maintain a valid DOT card. Pay range starts at $9.87/hr and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Mechanic I

Mechanic I -Triangle Transit is currently recruiting for a second shift Mechanic I. This position performs ongoing service, preventive maintenance work and minor repairs on vehicles, buses, machinery and equipment for Triangle Transit. Tasks range from simple to semi-skilled and require familiarity with a variety of large and small vehicular and non-vehicular equipment (gasoline and diesel). Essential duties and responsibilities range from changing oils, air, fuel, and oil filters to rebuilding brakes. High school diploma preferred with 3 years of related experience or certificate/degree in heavy equipment repair. Must hold certificate in performing both safety and emission inspections in accordance with the State of NC Division of Motor Vehicle Regulations. Must have or be able to obtain a class B CDL with a P endorsement and be able to maintain a valid DOT card. Saturday schedule is required. Some proficiency with computers is necessary. Pay range starts at $13.88/hr and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.
