Why Triangle Transit?

Triangle Transit Authority is shedding the Authority from its name. We are now simply Triangle Transit. This new name is straight-forward and easy to remember.

Why the Triangle?

The rapidly growing and changing Triangle Region is ready for and in deep need of connection and mobility. The triangle shape communicates change and connectivity - connecting points. The triple triangles tilt forward, indicating motion and forward thinking.

Why Three?

Multiple triangles communicate that we are a community of more than one town and more than one people. Triangle Transit connects these multiple places and people. We’re tied together by geography and our vision for the future: to be a world-class region.

Why Blue, Green and Orange?

Visitors to the Triangle often speak of our clear blue skies, our abundance of green trees and our sunny climate. People connect these characteristics with our high quality of life.

Our new logo represents the agency’s renewed commitment to excellent customer service and a new promise to the Triangle:
