Try Transit Week 2010
The Triangle Seamless Transit Partners – Capital Area Transit, Cary Transit, Chapel Hill Transit, Durham Area Transit Authority, the NCSU Wolf Line, and Triangle Transit Authority are hosting the 2010 Transit Try-athon to increase awareness of public transportation’s support, as well as to heighten environmental awareness.
Triangle Transit offers the following opportunities for your TRYING pleasure!
Blog about YOUR RIDE!
Transit riders are encouraged to TALK/CHAT/HOLLA/SHOUT about their daily bus commutes, and provide commentary on their riding experiences to the GoTriangle Blog
We want to hear it all…the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, the cute and the not-so-cute ins and outs of your daily bus trip.
Beginning 6:00 am on 9/20 through 11:59 pm on 9/24, 15 daily prizes(three per day) will be awarded by random selection to contributing riders. One entry per day, per person will be included in the drawing.
Monday, September 20th - Customer Appreciation Day
Look out for the Prize Patrol! Riding Triangle Transit has it’s privileges… special prizes awarded…you’ll never know where they will show up!
Tuesday, September 21st - Rack & Ride Day
Triangle Transit riders utilizing their bicycle as part of their daily commute ride the bus fare free throughout the day.
Wednesday, September 22nd
In celebration of International Car Free Day, Triangle Transit riders enjoy unlimited free bus trips throughout the day.
Thursday, September 23rd - Park & Ride Day
Triangle Transit riders utilizing a Park & Ride as part of their daily commute ride free on routes serving all Triangle Transit lots. Triangle Transit staff will be on-site distributing small tokens of appreciation to Park & Riders.
Friday, September 24th - Operations Staff Appreciation Day
Join Triangle Transit, Red Cross, Harris Teeter and The Light 103.9fm !
Help others by giving monetary donations to the American Red Cross for local and international relief efforts and STUFF THE BUS with non-perishable food and household items benefiting:
- The Carying Place
- Dorcas Food Pantry
- Durham Rescue Mission
- Meals on Wheels
- Raleigh Rescue Mission
